New guy here.
Call me ROADZ, but don't call me computer savvy.

Lookin' to find out if anyone out there has installed 17's or 18's on a second gen factory Z. To date the rear fender lips have been turned up and the bulge required for the rear seat belt mount has been hammered a bit. Factory rear brakes. The front has the old Herb Adams koni shocks, the springs have been cut by a 1/2 a coil but everything else is factory.

I've owned the car for 27+ years so if someone needs more details I can certainly provide answers.

Sorry if this has been covered in prior threads but like I said, I'm not much of a computer guy and although I tried the "search" route I came up empty.

Thanks.

I have 17x8s all around on my '81 Z28. Pics are in sig.

If I did it again, I'd go at least 17x9.5 in the rear.

:p

I too have 17x8 all the way around with tt2's. I am getting tire rub on the front inner fender when I go over a large bump to fast or if I am turing aggresively. This is probably due to worn out 25 year old springs. I would also go with a wider tire in back.
