what are some good looking, somewhat cheap tires for 17" fronts and 18" rears?

I just bought a set of factory oem y2k vette wheels 17 inch up front and 18 inch in the back...I actually don't know the width of em, if anyone knows what the stock vette wheels are please chime in. I am looking for some tires that look good and hook somewhat decent, but I don't wanna spend an arm and a leg on tires. If you have some suggestions please let me know, any and all help is appreciated, thanks!

If you can find fuzion zri's in the size you need I highly recommend them. They are an awesome tire regardless of price... and they're low priced!

I ended up going with the kumho ecsta mx tires........look pretty good, but so far they aren't hooking the greatest (I am used to driving on drag radials though ;) )

yeah i never had much luck with the ecsta series tires myself either.. though i think the ones i had were the 712 venturas *shrug* i do remember the fuzion was a pretty good hooking tire for the price though. how much did the set of MX's run ya though? my PzeroRosso's are about dead and im lookin for my next tire..

Heat the MX up. They're popular with the autoX crowd. They do require some warmth, but will never hook like a DR.

I got all four tires for about $760 dollars, including tax and mount/balance. It is pretty cold around here 30's-40's, so I guess once it gets warmer out they should hook a little better.
