Need a taller shifter ****

I just put a Lou's short stick on my stock shifter and it is pretty decent. However, my car had a dark grey round rubber ball shift **** on it when I bought it and it sits way too far down on the Lou's short stick. I was wondering if there is a taller shift **** out there or one that does not have deeply recessed threads? I would really like to gain about an inch of height and am open to all types of shift ***** (leather, metal, plastic, etc) please post links.

Thanks,
Eddie

i've got a stick that i machined, i modeled it after the Lou's stick, however i made it 1.5" longer, with the option to cut it shorter and make it the same length as the Lou's.

i'd be willing to trade with you...you're lou's for my stick

Re: Need a taller shifter ****

Thank you for the offer, but after driving with it for a couple days, I am really starting to like it. It is a very comfortable position while driving, allowing you to rest your arm on the console.

I kind of want one of the leather SLP ***** anyways and I wonder if it would be any taller than the ball? Anyone know that.
