The RS...
Okay, check it.Don't flame me on this, don't start rippin me a new one on this.I prob only need one response on this.Preferably from one of our insiders. I.E. Pacer X, 94LightingGAL,Scott,or someone who is a know it all.But is it possible an RS trim level could be seen in this Camaro lineup or should I keep dreamin? Or has this also be beaten to death and thus ignored?Again please DO NOT FLAME ME! And if you are a big fan of the RS you can also show your love here.In fact I think I'll make a poll to see how many do like the RS.

Re: The RS...
Historically “Rally Sport” has been more of an appearance package, not really a trim level or model all on its own. The 4th gen kind of messed this up but I digress.
I really don’t see any reason why GM wouldn’t use a Rally Sport option in the 5th gen.
Everything right now is purely speculation but I’d say there is a good chance.
No flame

Re: The RS...
Rally Sport, as said by Stars, was originally just an appearance package. Thus you could have a base with RS, SS with RS and even a Z/28/RS combo. I personally am all for the RS being an apperance option on the Camaro. I would love to have a top dog SS/RS or Z28/RS equipped car.
Re: The RS...
The only Camaro I really liked as a kid was the 1977 black & white color schemed Camaro Rallye Sport (for those of you who may still have it, there's a spread of it on the last inside pages of the 1977 Camaro brochure..... yes, I still have it
).
I was never a fan of the "faux-Z28" look of the 3rd gen RS, and the "boy-racer" looks of the 4th gen version. Sure, surveys said the public wanted a Z28 look 3rd gen and the 4th gen RS survey seemed to appeal to the young buyer since insurence was cheaper. But surveys pegged the Aztek as a success too. The only thing that should look like a Z28 IS a Z28, and the body add-ons should be an option or under another name, not an RS.
For me, a Camaro RS with a 5.3 V8 with LS1 power levels and a 6 speed transmission, with the comfort and style the RS had back then (with wood instead of alumunum) and Z28-like handling at a modest price would be the ticket. Performance-wise, a 0-60 time of 5 seconds and a top speed of at least 155 is plenty for my usage, if the price doesn't exceed Mustang GT's $24K.
As for your question, "is an RS package possible?", I'd say since GM plans to build massive numbers of these new Camaros, it's probally pretty likely.
The classy, stripe-less, scoop and spoiler free, silver concept seems alot like what a Camaro RS might look like.

Re: The RS...
What if RS included things like HID/Xenon lights, different grill, revised tail lights, stuff like that, and was available as a package on any base Camaro, SS or Z/28?
Oh yeah.....
Oh yeah.....

Re: The RS...
I was the first "Don't like it" vote because I'm only familiar with the 4th gen RS and thought it was border line rice with the lower side body panels and that ridge that went over the spoiler. Sorry, just not a big fan.

... RUN B!TCH!!!
Re: The RS...
I think it would have its place, especially in the absence of the Firebird.
I would like to see it a trim option or partial trim option, for Z28 underpinning tho, some looked better than Z's in the past.

CAMARO GT!
J/K-I really do like the idea of a RS appearance package available across all models.
