Only 150? You should hit 150 at about 6000 in 5th.

that's crazy, but how many rpm's can you accomplish on a 400rwhp car in 6th gear....that's the real question here

i know cruising in 6th i'm usually doing 80 around 2200 or so. haven't tried to take her up yet until i work all the bugs out and get new injectors

I don't know much about F-bodies but in C4s most hit their topspeed in 5th; 0.5 OD is kind of steep. Howver, with the right gearing and a stout engine, 6th may become a good topspeed gear.

6th gear will never become a good top speed gear unless you swap in 5.13s

If you can take it to 5700 RPM in 6th, you will be doing 212 MPH. Does this question really need to be asked? Who runs around at 150 MPH?

Drivetrain is what you should worry about, not powertrain.

150mph isnt unrealastic everyonce in awhile (although definately not recommended), id be pretty pissed if i swapped out gears and couldnt hit it though. although the last time i got passed 130 i ended up spinning a rod bearing. (most likely on the way to 130 not at it) ohwell time for stroker.

We do.

Road is closed to all traffic.Full safety gear start to finish. Ambulances, Medevac and EMT's. Running that hard on active public access highways filled with vans full of kids and blue hairs is for idiots.

I hit 149 in my old formula on I-76 outside of denver, and have hit 140 repeatedly in my friends old SHO. H3ll, i got a ticket going 128 on 690 in syracuse Ny, lol. Good thing for the old wyoming license, it never gets revoked, and they don't take points from other states.

A 150 shot will chew up and spit 6th gear out of the tranny.
