Was wondering what would be the best thing to do to my transmisson for my 383 stroker build.Can i upgrade the internals in the stock trans or should i go with a whole new built trans..

"Best transmission" is in the eye of the beholder and relevant to funds in your wallet

what is the cars intended purpose? daily driver, drag racer, street strip??? answer those and you'll narrow down transmission models to choose from and then build as stout as your wallet allows.

 

If your trans is a T-56, then you're fine with the stock unit + a good aftermarket clutch.
