MAF Location = Problems?

I believe I know the answer, but looking for comfirmation or thoughts.
The story - I have a 69 camaro with an LT4 / T56 set-up. I'm in the process of determining where to locate an air filter and routing to the TB. I have considered using a stock type camaro TB elbow and pull air from the fender well similar to other CAI's. I can't route to the drive side and passenger side area is pretty conjested. I have thought of coming up with a way to pull air from my cowl induction hood. My concern is the MAF location. Are there rules of thumb that I should be aware of to ensure I won't have MAF or drivabilty issues?
Thanks,
Kevin

No response?
Does changing the MAF from the stock location cause problems? Do people not move it or if they have to they go to Speed Density?

Thanks,
Kevin

As long as the MAF is in the air flow from filter to throttle body, there should not be any problem.
