What clutch to buy????

I have a 94 camaro z28 pushing 400rwhp. Next summer hopefully 600rwhp max. My stock clutch is pretty much done. I have a m6 with a moser 9" rearend. What clutch should I buy?? I heard many bad things about the spec 3 clutch. Also did anyone run there stock flywheel with a aftermarket clutch. I'm trying to save some money. Should I replace the flywheel?? I'm basically looking for a street friendly clutch that will hold a ton of power and last a long time - more then 2k miles

Re: What clutch to buy????

The street twin is by far your best option. Next in line is something like what I have, which is a custom setup from SPEC. I call it custom because they don't list it in catalogs, but it costs only a little more than a standard stage 4 setup. It is referred to as the SPEC 4F, with the F representing the full clutch disk instead of a puck design. They also supposedly use the stage V pressure plate. This setup is rated for 850+ ft-lbs, and it worked awesome for me at the first trip to the track. Side stepping at 5000-6000 on slicks it held just fine.

As far as the flywheel, you need an SFI unit once you hit 10.99 anyway so why not spring the extra $250 for a spec steel unit?

EDIT: BTW, I have driven it in stop and go, and its plenty liveable. It gets grabby when hot, but any clutch with this holding capacity will.
