Lugnut Key
Lugnut Key
Somehow I misplace the socket that is used to remove the rims from my 1994 camaro. Is there anywhere on the internet where i can order one? I'm getting new tires soon and am going to need it. Thanks for your help.

Re: Lugnut Key
Are you asking about a locking lug nut or a standard lug nut? If it's a standard lug nut a 13/16" socket fits and can be bought almost anywhere. If it's a locking lug nut they have many patterns that you would have needed to keep the original info from the purchase and contact the manufacturer for the correct key.

If you want I will sell you my lug key, I have 2 of them, that are no good to me anymore
Re: Lugnut Key
How much would you be willing to sell the lug keys for? Do you think one of them would work on mine or are there several different varieties? Thanks for all the quick replies.
Re: Lugnut Key
I will sell them for $10 shipped, I believe GM made 4 or 5 different lug nut key patterns, so you have about a 1 in 5 chance that it will work. I have 2 keys but they are both the same one.

didnt realize how slow some other places are compared to my store
Re: Lugnut Key
I think it is about a dozen different locking lug keys. I bought a car with locking lugs that had no key (found out a few days later). The dealer parts department had a master set of them. I just tried them all until one fit. Didn't cost me anything.

Re: Lugnut Key
If you don't mind me asking...how much did those cost you? I'm already getting new tires and I don't really want to dump a ton of money. I might call the dealership tomorrow and see what they can do. Thanks again guys
