Gmpartsdirect Sucks

I ordered a part from gmpartsdirect over 2 weeks ago and emailed them twice, and no response . It says the part is in process and I have no idea how long it is going to take to get here. Does anyone know how to cancel a order on there website?

You can't cancel orders, i think it says it somewhere on the website. In any event, i would wait it out. You should get it within a week. I ordered a few things from them and 1 item did take like 3 weeks. It was a special order item.

Good luck

hell yea gmpartsdirect sucks! i ordered a steam pipe from them, and after waiting FOUR WEEKS for it, i get an email saying that it was damaged and they had to reorder it, so then i had to wait about 3 more weeks. Their prices might be a little bit better, but i'll never order anything from them again because the wait is ridiculous

GMpartsdirect keeps their costs low by offering NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Same here, the lack of customer svc, and longer than normal shipping time has turned me away from dealing with GMPD anymore. I just use Jason/Dal or *gasp* the local dealership. (they give me 10% off)

Makes me glad I ordered my C5 brake parts from Team Chevrolet. If I order anything from gmpartsdirect, it will be something not real important.

Wow. Let me get this straight. They offer great prices but make their money back by raping you on shipping. Then after getting rapped with shipping they make you wait 3-5 weeks to recieve a product. Then on top of that you cant cancel or complain. Sounds like a winner to me.

There are several threads around that chronicle people's dealings with GMPD (good and bad). Use them with caution.

A "search" would have turned up this info BEFORE you placed your order.

This is not an appropriate topic for "LT1/LT4 Engine Tech"...... let's try it on "General F-Body Tech & Info" where all the other "gmpartsdirect sucks" threads are posted....... Movin

Yep, special order items can take a while, and always watch the shipping costs, if ordering one large item, that costs over $50 your usually ok and come out ahead of buying it retail dealer price, but if order several low cost items, they nail you for shipping of each individual part, yet they are still all shipped together...I've had $75 in parts and almost $50 to ship them..needless to say I did not complete the order.

On another note, I ordered a Delco starter for my '79..it showed up with a busted solenoid cap...I emailed them the problem, they sent me another entire starter and solenoid and told me if the shipper did not want to look at the broken one, it was mine to keep....so I ended up with 2 starters

When you want to ask a question... post it as a "new topic"..... not as a highjack of someone elses thread.

Is your car a Corvette? There are no 1997 LS1 F-Body's.

There seems to be alot of theses lately. I think I'm one of the few who have had a good experience with them.
