I bought a replacement mount for my SS from Thunder racing, the energy suspension model.I hear people saying that if you remove some plate it won't vibrate so bad.I don't see a plate or am I missing something.

Re: What plate do people refer to on a energy suspension tranny mount?

In the package with the Energy Suspensions mount, there should have been a ~1/8" plate that went in behind the mount before you bolted it to the tranny. It's the full width of the mount, and has the 2 outer bolts go through it as well as the main mount itself. However, without that plate, the urethane block actually contacts tranny (possibly helping reduce vibrations) and as well it will change the pinion angle slightly, and some say that the angle WITH the back plate is what causes the significant vibrations in the first place??

Is it possible the mount has been changed? The one I ordered from thunder racing has no such part. The mount is all one piece.
