Putting in the alarm in this thing, after the RAP turns off the power to the BCM the alarm won't unlock the doors.
I looked at brents page with the diode trick and tricking the BCM to wake up, but that wasn't 100% what I wanted because if i turn off the car my alarm automatically unlocks the door and I lose the RAP feature(BCM will sense door open then close).
I just started to wire it up with a little mod to brent's guide, instead of wiring the wakeup negative trigger signal directly from the alarm to the BCM door input, I put a relay in there that only lets it do that when the RAP is deativated. Meaning, when RAP is on the alarm will not send a negative pulse to the BCM, and when the RAP is not on it will send the negative pulse to the BCM so that it wakes it up. This should let the alarm work as intended, with automatic unlock and no RAP deactivation.
Anyone ever do it this way?? In theory it should work 100%.........
