Totally differant. Gordon Freeman 10-30-2002, 07:30 PM Anyone know the difference, it bolts up,or is it a balance issue,It is going to be used with a muncie 4-speed with an 11inch clutch. If it will not work anyone know where I can get one foran LT1 in Florida??:) :) DTK 10-30-2002, 08:18 PM Originally posted by Gordon Freeman Anyone know the difference, it bolts up,or is it a balance issue,It is going to be used with a muncie 4-speed with an 11inch clutch. If you are looking to put a 4spd. behind an LT1 not even the LT1 flywheel will work for you. You have now 2 problems. One you need to find a small block chevy flywheel. Next problem you have is the Small block chevy flywheel is not balanced to the LT1. You will need to have it rebalaned to a neutral centrifigal. Gordon Freeman 10-30-2002, 08:31 PM Well that blows I have a small block flywheel off a 327 that runs a 10.4 clutch but I didn't think it would work because it is from a motor with a 2 piece rear main seal THANKS for the info:cry:  Gordon Freeman 10-30-2002, 09:10 PM Well I went in the garage and compared the Ls1 flywheel to an Lt1 flexplate and another older flexplate and all 3 are different. So now I have to ask why wouldn't an Lt1 flywheel work for the 4-speed?? From what I have been told both the Muncie and T56 have the same size input shaft the only difference is the splines for the clutch. And according to Centerforces web site the t56 runs an 11inch clutch and they use to run 11inch clutches with the 4-speeds for the Big Blocks. DTK can you tell me a little about the Lt1 flywheel?? 2002Z28SSConv 10-30-2002, 09:41 PM Be sure to get it right or you could cause a resinence cascade. It is improbable but also possible. Never mind I'm sure it'll be fine. You'll still be well within acceptable limits. :) lol I know this doesn't help. I just wanted to say I like the name you chose. (For those of you who don't know, Gordon Freeman is the main character in the game Half Life. If you've never played the game, ignore my post. You won't understand.) Gordon Freeman 10-31-2002, 05:50 AM Half-life and Counterstrike are the best games. But anyway does anyone know the dimensions of an Lt1 flywheel or if this will work??:) :) | ||
