Recommend me some good speakers.

I am interested in upgrading my speakers. Want a good set that can get pretty loud and still stay clear. Quality is most important. I want some that wont require an amp and are around 100$.
Already have an alpine headunit, sub in a stealthbox, and some aftermarket speakers in the rear speakers (idk why but car came like that).

Re: Recommend me some good speakers.

The best thing you can do is to go to all of the car stereo shops in your area and audition all the speakers in your budget range with some of your favorite CD's. Brands you might want to consider are Infinity, Polk Audio, Alpine, MTX, Eclipse, etc. Stick with quality name brands like these and you should be OK. Stay away from bargain basement speakers. I would also recommend getting 2-way speakers. 3-way and 4-way speakers are a waste of money IMO. I see no point in buying a speaker that has what essentially amounts to multiple tweeters in front of the mid-woofer. This is a good example of where less is more.

a set of alpine type-s's would do the trick and would match with your head unit (not necessary of course but what the hey)
