Re: Ford Closing Plants as well ???

I feel safe to say that I am thankful it isn't either of the 2 Ford plants in Louisville, KY. The KTP that builds the Super duties just layed off staff but with a new model 2 years or less away I don't think the employees have much to worry about those trucks are profit centers and will continue to be so. The Fern Valley Rd plant that builds the Explorers just got an update to a new flex system not to long ago and they are building Sport Tracs and other Explorerlings every day, though the slow sales have caused factory shut downs for about 1-1.5 weeks a month.

Let me tell you I see the effect that the shut downs have on the Ford workers AND the supplier workers and it isn't pretty. I think I fully understand how the people in places that have lost plants feel.

You know, since when have rumors become substancial journalism? What ever happened to actually stating "facts" and not all this fiction mumbo jumbo. I will not believe one stich of this palaba, just a gimmick to get idiots to buy the over priced automotive news. When pretty boy floyd opens his yap in 2006, we'll know for sure.
