SSRA vs. FTRA which one?
Re: SSRA vs. FTRA which one?
cant talk much about ftra, but having the ssra, i love it. is it worth $211 after shipping? well, with a little tinkering im sure you could make one yourself for a fraction of the cost, but i opted not to try. you wont see any real gains on a dyno, but you will notice it on the highway/ track. they say you will see .1-.2 gain at the track. i cant say for sure as i ran mine first time with ssra and gear change and picked up .9, so i dont know how much goes to each mod.
Re: SSRA vs. FTRA which one?
SSRA hands down.
if you remove the ram air scoop on the SSRA...you are left with basically the FTRA.
the FTRA is more of a cold air induction, while the SSRA is a cold air induction at slower speeds and becomes a full functioning ram air setup at higher speeds.
seems the choice is pretty simple.
and 2 1/2 yrs of heavy florida rain (including hurricanes) and i have yet to find any water in my intake or in the air box.
