I recently had a valve train failure( bottom end is damaged and valves bent) and was thinking about buying a low milage LT engine and dropping it in while i rebuild the motor during the next couple of years. Did all the LT corvette engines have 4 bolt mains and would the motor with a upgraded fueling system and tune hold 5-8PSI good?

why not just get an ls1 crate motor?
stronger, more power from the start, and more potential.

LS1's are great engines and in bolt on form will obviosly make more hp than a bolt on lt1. Its also a more expensive engine. Once you build a boosted motor with a forged bottom end, ported heads, cam, etc...the benefit of an ls1 is tiny at best. Since hes wanting to run boost and in case hes on a budget, an ls1 might not be practical. Plus, iron block > Aluminum block in boosted applications.
