Hybrid 1998 LS1/T56 Silverado

i might have to put it on ebay in a week or 2. not parting it out, unless i absolutely have to. Bills + Debt are too much and im looking at an uphill battle supporting my daughter, and i need something i wont spend $$ on.

I dont have the time or the money to devote to this project anymore. and will have to cut my losses as i probably have 20k+ easy into this project and it isnt near finished in my mind, up there i want to go all out. I am in debt and would like to be free of any Debt asap. I can say this truck is very rare as im sure you know, i'd be willing to say there are less than 10(and thats being generous) of an OBS Silverado with a LS1/T56 and mods like this IN THE WORLD. I was just about to the point of having it painted but have no money and now the time issue is pretty much forcing me to sell.. It runs @ 170* all day long(fans are on a dash switch), no cooling issues, charging issues, or fuel/oil pressure issues. sounds awesome. Total truck has 145k miles i believe, but the body is about the only thing left with that kinda mileage(and i have taken care of the major dents with new body pieces), clean title...was in a front end bumper bender before i got it...again though, clean title. i cant think of anything aside from the little things like balljoints that havent been replaced or were/are going to be. I was gonna do the lil things like balljoints etc up front but we checked them out and they are fine. Mobil 1 came out of it...and went back in...twice. I did not do this swap on my own. Luke "SLMDLT1" did most of the wiring, and other things were done by a GM Certified tech who works at the dealer down the road from me.

Downsides:

*Its unpainted.
*Truck has a/c just not hooked up.
*Door panels are off anticpating wiring my new POWER doors, but are included.
*Tailights arent working so the brake switch needs to be replaced or hardwired.
*No fuel Guage yet, but @ 21mpg/26 gallon tank just fill up every 300-400 miles as it has a 500+ mile range.
*The interior is missing a plastic piece or 2 of trim. easily accessable, but i have no $.
* Cracked windshield

if you have interest....

The parts that are new are: Starter, Brakes, Clutch, Shocks, Springs, Drivetrain, Rear End, Hood, Qtr Panel, Tailgate, Tailights, Steering wheel, Gauges(autometers), GM Vortec Fuel Pump, Aeromotive AFPR

how much invested? ha! way too much to get it back in return.
i realize that no one ever gets what they put into something like this. i only ask what could get me close to purchasing a decent car.

motor/tranny alone go for $6,000 on ebay...and thats STOCK
tune($250), exhaust($300), custom CIA($100), SLP Maf($195), emissions delete(free).....then you got gears/posi($800 installed), autometer dash(~$500 parts alone), steering wheel($80), Alpine DVD($1000), custom T/A seats($1000 with custom brackets), new power doors and panels($1100), Cervinis SS Hood ($450), Tailgate/rollpan/tailights($300), Headlights/billet($120), Boyds($1500), and new Nittos(~$600), Spec 3 clutch($500), LS1 fans/Aluminum radiator($350), New black carpet($200)...and the little things like starter, brakes, etc...

...thats $15,300, not even counting the truck itself, and thats parts alone. not including the blood sweat and tears and labor that went into it all.

asking $10,500 negotiable, can ship it if you wish. can have it painted upon deposit and buyers request.

ill get a few pics of the project hosted and post soon.

Ebay 101: OK I see you have had the bidding end twice on you, the first time it got up to over 5K, but you will notice that people won't bid again because they don't know you lowered the reserve. Now they are not willing to bid because they gave you there best offere any you didn't take it. This leaves a bad taste in a bidders mouth and if they come into you item again they will more then likely not bid again.

I might suggest adding diferent pics and a different main pic. Also since you are telling everyone it has a T56 then a shot of the shifter would be good too.

BTW, why didn't you remove the auto shifter from the column? And why did you put pics that were not of your truck on ebay? We both know the pics of the truck on the lift is not yours...

I was just trying to be helpful. I feel like any other person looking at this and will say "well half the pics show a vehicle with multi colored parts and there is one pic with everything tha same color." It might be your truck, might not I really don't give a $hit!!! I was trying to point out that that pic is not showing the condition of it now, if it is then why show all the pics of multi color body pieces? In other words if you really want to sell it you might want to have only the relevent details.

You say that is you truck then what happened to it? Those are questions a bidder would think, and cause them to think twice before placing a bid for that much money. Again dude I am just trying to help you out...

understood. i thought i pointed out that it had a new ss hood, and new electric doors, that would lead me to believe thats why they are a different color. the same color shots were just to give a view of it single colored as i doubt anyone would leave it multicolored.

Re: Hybrid 1998 LS1/T56 Silverado

Well, I have done nothing new to the truck in a few months, just been sitting in my driveway. If anyone would be interested in taking on a project, let me know. I will entertain reasonable offers at the moment. I just dont really have the room/time/$ for it. I would rather see it completed than for it to be parted out.

No reasonable offer refused. I need this truck out of my hair.
