05 GMC 1500HD 7700 miles, f/s or trade for fbody
I have a black 05 GMC 1500HD that I bought brand new back in July. The only towing I have done was towing an fbody to North Carolina from Louisiana and man is this an awesome truck. This beast even got 18-19mpg on the way back. It has the 6.0L, 3.73's, complete towing package with the mirrors that extend, steering wheel controls, power driver seat, ect. It has had its first two on time oil changes, ect. I decided not to go into the hotshot business so I am not using it like I thought I would and would like to get back into a 4th gen fbody of some sort. My last two vehicles were fbodys (97 Camaro and 01 Firebird) and I miss them dearly.
Anywho, I owe $32k on it. I'd sell it of course, or take a trade plus cash so I can pay off the loan. It would work out great that way because if you traded me a $15k fbody, you would be left with a $17k on a $30k+ truck...Any bank would loan that in a second. You would also come out better because there is no way in hell a dealership will give anywhere close to what its worth, so this is like trading in your car, but getting full value for it. I would prefer an 01 or 02 Z, SS, Formy, or T/A and someone local in the Baton Rouge area, or a reasonable distance since Hibernia said both parties have to be present when signing over vehicles in this manner. I'm in no rush to get rid of this thing since I really do love this truck. If I dont sell it, I'll pick up a cheap fbody project race car or something after I get married next year.
I just figure that if I am not going to use it properly
then I should attempt to get into something with better gas mileage but is still fun.
