Installing FG Hood got a ?

I went to install the hood today and on the stock hood plates that bolt up to the hood they have L shaped things on the ends of them that go into small holes on the good a few inchs down from the screw holes.

Now on the Fiber glass SS hood it doesn't have holes for theres and only has the screw holes.

So do i

1. Cut the metal L clip things off the hood mounting brackets or
2. Dremel the holes into the fiberglass hood so they they will fit.

neither just take a pair io pliers and bend them flat, they are just soft aluminum and will take seconds to do.

Agreed with Frank. I did the same thing, they were more than likely just guide pins so that it was easy to put the hood on in the assembly line at the factory. Folded them flat with pliers, and didn't have any problems with alignment or fitment. With a fiberglass hood, you have to worry more about the hood struts than anything. They're strong and meant to lift a steel hood, if you let it lift the fiberglass hood on it's own, it really goes up fast and such... I've read a few cases on the message boards of people having problems with stress cracks and such from the struts being too strong. Just something to keep in mind.
