PERFORMANCE PARTS FEATURED ON “LEARNING CHANNEL” TONIGHT . . . The Learning Channel’s popular “Rides” TV show will dedicate an entire one-hour show to the building of a GM Performance Parts (GMPP) project car tonight. The program, which airs at 7 p.m. ET/PT, will focus on the installation of a GMPP ZZ572 crate engine and 4L85E transmission into a 1970 Chevelle convertible. Built by eight students – seven men and one woman – from Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor, Mich., the “Summer School Chevelle” show airs just two weeks before the car’s public debut at the SEMA show in Las Vegas. Also, GMPP will be the featured engine supplier on “Overhaulin,” a TLC sister show airing immediately after “Rides” at 8 p.m.
ET/PT. Both shows offer a consistent message to viewers that GMPP is the way to go for out-of-the-crate engine performance.
