4L60E Rebuild 'Kit' -- Need Opinions

I posted about a month ago and basically got the consensus that my 4L60E needed a rebuild. I've found someone reputable to rebuild it in my area locally, the only catch is that I need to drop the transmission myself. I spoke with him and he is cool with me bringing all the parts for the rebuild.

I found a website that builds the 'Raptor 4L60E' Transmissions and they sell individual parts as well as kits.

Here is the link to the rebuild 'package' if you will:
http://www.eatmyshifts.com/combo_kits.htm#4L60E

Here is the link to me describing my original transmission issues:
http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=397609

What I'm asking is what else do I need to purchase? And will these parts suffice for a mildly performance oriented rebuild. It is a '94 Z28 -- right now has full exhaust, LT4 Hot Cam Kit, Vigilante 2800 stall going when when I put the tranny back in. Still needs tuning though.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I purchased a "Pro-Street" LT1 package from Pro-Built Automatics (he's a supporting vendor here I believe), which includes some NICE upgrade parts. It was a full complete kit, and the builder that did mine was very impressed with the kit.

I think you should at least check out Pro-Built's packages before you buy one of the Raptor kits.

I have no experience with them myself, but I've heard of others having some problems with those guys.

Pro-Built's site is: http://www.700t4l60e.com

Wow I just checked it out and that looks like a decent deal. And the website makes a little more sense. Now I've just got to find a shop to do it for me.

Thanks for that.

I have spoken with Dana from Pro Built and he is very knowledgeable. I am buying the parts from him to rebuild the trans in my 95. Our phone conversation was over an hour. Very helpfull and friendly. I recommend him from that point alone.

I spoke with him for a decent ammount of time as well. He even worked with me to get my rebuild kit shipped out and in my hands a.s.a.p. Great guy, very impressive kit. I'll let you guys know how it performs when I'm back up and running.

So far.. Dana and Pro-Built get two thumbs up from me

PATC is down the street from where I live. I would't recommend them. They have several poor reports to the local BBB and have even been on own local news about people getting bum transmission work. They wouldn't comment when the reporter went to ask them questions. They just locked the doors.

Also, my next door neighbor (96 Z28 355 w/ ATI 9lb) had his A4 built there 3 times in 2 years. They didn't warranty/pay for any of the replacement work. He finally got sick of them and had it rebuilt at some "non-performance" local trans shop and it's been going strong for a few years now. I like the parts they sell, I just think the installers are sloppy.
