Any WAG on when we might see an HHR SS?

My wife and I are test driving an HHR today. If my wife likes it we will seriously consider one to replace the Envoy. If the SS version is less than a year away, I'd push to wait for that one.

Anyone have any idea as to when they might appear in the showroom?

Not a prediction, but just a thought.....

SEMA, I think, would be a perfect place to reveal an HHR SS.

I'd prefer to think of it as Chevy hasn't finished dragging the line-up through the SS bin yet.

Any idea of what the performance difference is between RWD or AWD?

Also, any driving impressions that you can share Scott?

Seems to be that way. At least the Z28 name is still pure

I'm guessing a year after production. I'm also guessing one might show up at SEMA, but that doesn't mean it will be in production within months.

Good site to keep up on HHR news: http://www.hhrclub.org/

Yes Virginia, there IS an HHR enthusiast's site... already!

The question was HHR SS.

Can't sell Marion on a TB and I'm leaning towards a pickup type truck for towing.

I'm interested in these questions as well. I'm probably trading the Evo in for a TB SS (bought a boat) and I'm looking foward to trying one of these out. AWD would be better for ramping a boat, but RWD sounds more fun.

Actually my son's Blazer is getting tired and I've been thinking of introducing him to HHR.

Liked and willing to pony up the cash are two different stories. The TB SS doesn't address the size (too big) and ergonomic issues we have with the Envoy.

I'm saving my pennies for a 5th gen. The Envoy is "hers" and whatever might replace it is entirely her decision. Keep in mind a vehicle demands a much higher portion of our disposable income in Canada.

She was not impressed by the HHR:
- couldn't see the hood
- felt low, probably because of the high beltline
- would stop using the turn signal because it's just way too loud
- feels it would attract too much attention.

I still think it's way cool.

It was ruled out so fast we had time to check out a Forester XT. It made the "worthy of consideration" list. Subaru is offering 0.8% 60 month financing here.
