shifting woes with 4.88'sshamuSS 10-09-2005, 06:05 PM since putting in the 4.88's re-tuning the pcm for the gear change and improved shifts etc,. i,ve got a problem where it won't shift under full throttle at anything over 5800rpm or so,.you have to lift off on the pedal to get a shift,. even manually,. up shifts are set at 1-2 5500 2-3 5300 3-4 5300,. any idea's? motor is stock with hot cam and springs,. nick Shon Herron 10-09-2005, 06:42 PM I know nothing of the set up but could it be part of the OBDI no shift problem? When it does finally shift, is it in 2nd or does it go to 3rd until you cut the car off and start it back up again? What is your MPH and RPM settings for WOT? shamuSS 10-09-2005, 09:10 PM 1-2 5800 @ 31mph 2-3 5500 @ 56 mph?? i can't remember the 3-4,.. i pooched the motor with it hanging up on the 1-2 shift,. car has been sitting 2wks now.
