A bunch of questions..
A bunch of questions..
Yo. I've got a 2000 SS auto, and I'm changing a few things out to make my car drive better than it has been. I'm starting off with tires and brakes, gonna work my way to shocks, fluids, new plugs and wires, and then lights. This things has 77.5k miles on it, and I don't think anything major has been replaced.
So I've been looking at some tires, and I can't exactly decide. I wanted some tires that have black walls on the outside, and a Z speed rating, and to fit on the 17 inch rims I have (stock). I'm looking to spend no more than 500 bucks on a set of tires, and I'd like to hear some suggestions from you guys on here.
I've got the brakes covered, just getting new pads and painting my calipers red. But what should I go for with the shocks? I've seen Bilstein (sp?) around here everywhere, and I was wondering if they're worth the money?
Now about the fluids. Is there anything I could use to clean the insides of my engine, tranny and rear end before I change the fluids? Anyway, would it be a good idea to change all of it out, just so I'd have all brand new fluids and stuff?
I know this is a long post, sorry. I'm just trying to get my car running and looking like it did when I first bought it. Getting back to stock or better at some kind of affordable price. Thanks for the help.

Re: A bunch of questions..
You need to break this down into seperate topics, and post each topic on the correct forum....
-LS1/LS2..... Engine Tech
-Wheels and Tires
-Suspension, Chassis and Brakes
You will get better responses on the correct forum, and with a shorter, single topic post. People tend not to answer long, multi-topic posts, and the Moderators prefer that you post on the correct forum.
