Has anyone painted their tips?
SLP sent me the wrong tips for my exhaust so I got the exhaust shop to put on some tips they had in stock (Gibson). They don't fit to well in the Trans Am (they're off-centered), but I'm down to 0$... Anyway, I was thinkin about painting the inside of the tips black because they look HORRIBLE from behind... you can see the inside of the tips and they look like they need to be cleaned or something. Has anyone done this? What kind of paint do you use? How do you think it would look?
Thanks.
Thanks.
It probably depends if they are crome plated, but I bet if you painted the inside and out with a dull black they would look pretty sweet, all you need is some high temp paint. I got some spray paint that I used to paint my brake caliper that withstand up to 1200 degrees--should do the trick. you can get some at any local parts store (ORiely, AutoZone, etc.) right now I have turn downs--so that you can't see and part of the tips at all, but that sounds like a cool idea if I ever got regular tips, would have never thought of it.
