cutoutss_slayer 09-21-2005, 04:47 PM which are the best cutout brands?? is it worth it the modification?? teke184 09-21-2005, 06:27 PM a cutout is a cutout.....i mean they all do the same thing. or do you mean an electric plate that goes on the cutout?? as for worthwhile. they are VERY good for the cost, at least the cutout is, the electric plate is another story. the cutout will be loud, but can be used when you want it but closed when you dont. on alot of catbacks, you'll gain anywhere from 5-15hp depending on the restriction of the muffler on the system. the electric plate is handy because you can open it from inside the car as opposed to crawling under the car. ss_slayer 09-21-2005, 08:12 PM well i was refering to the electric one Jazsun 09-23-2005, 10:57 PM well i was refering to the electric one The elecric part is something that you bolt onto a manual cutout, in replacement of the metal plate w/ the 3 thumscrewes. 2000GTP 09-23-2005, 11:55 PM QTP and DHM are two of the big names that deal with electric cutouts. They both accomplish the same task, I believe, but not certain that the DHM unit carries a 4 yr. warranty. The cutouts run anywhere from 150.00 to 200.00 and several of the board's supporting vendors carry them. Jack D Ripper 09-24-2005, 10:06 PM QTP is the only worth getting. They also make there own stainless steel cutouts. SO you dont have to get the mild steel flowtech ones that rust out in a couple of months. QTP is a sponsor. Dont think any other business carries dmh. | ||
