Rear Gear Dyno's

I was wondering if anyone has a estimate of increase of HP with switching from 2.73 gears up to 3.73's. thanks!

All the gears are doing is giving you a mechanical advantage. It may show a couple extra though but not much.

a dyno will show you how much power you make in a given amount of time.

gears just change how much long that time is..

or something

The dyno knows wheel speed and engine speed, so gears dont matter much.


Teh dyno records how fast you accelerate the 3000# drum (I think thats the weight) and uses the above variables to arrive at the tq produced, then it calculates the HP from the Tq
