Should i get my new hood painted at a chain store like macco or a private bodyshop.

 

whats up man, i got my new hood painted at a local bodyshop and they did an excellent job, the local maaco's here are terrible from what i have seen them do to friends cars. but i have seen a couple cars on this site with maaco paint jobs and they looked pretty good! i payed around $500 i think or something like that i recall but he did an awesome job. lata

 

A good job is going to be around $350-600, depending on prep work and the type of paint.... Check around for a very good body shop.. Maaco???? only if you know the person who will be doing the job...

 

Depends on how much prep work is needed to get the hood ready. The prep work along if they need to fix things can run you up to $800.

I had my ASCD 98-02 SS hood and SS spoiler painted for $300 (total) from the local body shot the did a great job.

I just depends the normal cost is about $300-$600
