gs400tx 10-21-2002, 12:25 PM Went for a little drive on Sunday. From the chevron station on University and texas (about even with the gas pumps), to the first instersection at the polo field (heading towards north gate), my little crappy 3rd gen got about 115-120mph, just running 2nd, 3rd and 4th.. (and with 2 extra people in the car). Needless to say its running a little better now.
If you see a 3rd gen with lame paint around.. throw me a rev..
Maybe we can play.
Oh yeah.. for those who are not familar with the distance.. its right about .2 miles.
Sounds like rain for the rest of this week.. for that reason, I probably won't b out and about much myself.

hey, I have noticed in all your posts in the past you carry a sense of sarcasm when you refer to 4th gens...no flame intended, but why don't you ever show up to race your car or even show us what you got? Just wondering...afarid of getting your butt handed to you by some "silly kid"?

innocuous. As I indicated, I don't make it out there often because of the time (and up to this point, the preparation of the car). But, for some people,, I am inclinded to make a specific exception.
My posts in the past have rarely said anything about the specific performance of my car. Only recently has the performance improved and my comments were directly related to that, and even still, I kept my comments reserved.
Conversely, many 4th gen owners rarely are at a loss for comments on the exceptional performance of their cars (at least what I have seen on this forum).
Its not my intention to start another one of the my-car this and that threads.. if you can't take a little friendly ribbing without being offended, I guess this exchange is finished.
The comment about showing what you got can work both ways.. why are there rarely collegestation guys that show up at the hastings? (must be a !carb thing.. )
Don't worry,, you will know when I make it out there.. or see you in traffic. My attendance has nothing to do with any concerns on the outcome.. rest assured.

He's at Hastings almost every Wed. nite and the car is no slouch , his motor is almost identical to my previous 406. Alum. heads , victor intake , 1050cfm carb , roller cam , headers , 4.11 gears yadayadayada. Full suspension mods ,. manual five speed and maybe some spray in the future !! He's cool , but is still tuning for best performance , ( And Nitto's !! ) It looks like a sleeper but looks can be decieving !!!! See ya Wed. ( Hell , his Lexus GS400 is no slouch !! ) You could use some shots from his car for your clips !!! Ed :) :)

We just had a missunderstanding Ed, its all ok now...sounds like his car is no slouch...i think i might have ran him in the past in his lexus...
