The first question is, head bolts or studs on a 14 psi motor.

Sceond question is, does anyone use Holley /MSD injectors? Are they reliable and easy to tune idle with?

You'll get mixed answers on this. There is no doubt that studs will provide better clamping force, but do you need it? I'm using ARP head bolts, I felt that they would be good enough.

Bolts should work ok. I ran them up to 18 psi, I switched to studs though due to a little coolant leakage. My heads ended up being a little warped, so I had them surfaced .006 and switched to studs with no further problems.

Any injectors should idle fine as long as you have the right constants and offsets for your specific injector. Guys get large injectors to idle fine, it's all about the tune.

do it right the first time and get studs....not worth the mess that coolant can cause my leaking.

Corky bell said it best in his book Maximum Boost, "Head bolts are an accountants decision, a head stud is an engineers decision".

Good enough for me. Thanks everyone.
