I think because the UAW indicated it may make some concessions on health care.

The possibility of a UAW conession was good news and the recent remark from the head of Toyota stating they might be raising prices didn't hurt either.

I also saw a cool new GM advertisement tonight on their new sales promotion (everyone now gets employee discounts) that I thought was both clever and very positive.
