The motor comes out of the Vert. If anybody is bored and wants to get dirty let me know. All the beer and Moon Mist you want, and I'm gonna grille something or order pizza. Starting EARLY around 8am and working till I have it out. My motor guy is waiting on me and so is the guy who is porting the heads. So I need to kick it into gear. Anybody? If not I say screw you all:rolleyes: J/K:D

Dreamer, if I wasn't going to be in NYC over the weekend I would come up and help you.

I'm a lazy bastard that will be working on my own car. If I get all the stuff I want done to mine, I'll head over. It shouldnt take me too long to do a coolant flush and new door seals.

I fly out of Grand Rapids to Phoenix on Sunday at 7:55 pm so maybe I'll stop in and say HI and meet some westsiders.I'll need some directions though.

Where else are you going to pull a tranny and a engine out the bottom of a car while they are still attached:D Should be fun.;)

How are you gonna pull the engine from the bottom? Isnt there a frame in the way? :confused:

I think it's just 6 bolts and the frame comes out with them!:D The only benifit of the uni-body construction.

Exactly. The entire driveline needs to come out, and this is alot easier then the other way IMO. Besides I have never done it, and it will get the struts out so I can change the springs too. Gives me a chance to detail a few things you dont get at very often. Should be pretty cool, I will post pictures when it is done.

Yeah, now that you have software that helps you out. If we have time, I'll give you a quick walkthrough on how to use it.

The most difficult part about getting the struts out is removing the 2 torks head bolts that are under the master cylinder. I had both struts out of my car in an hour and that was on jackstands.

I've had the struts twice before, those arent too bad. But I am going to leave them attached to the lower control arms and pull them all out with the cradle assembly. Should be pretty trick the way it comes out. I hope:p

I hope you can get the car up high enough to pull the engine out from under the car after you drop the cradle.....trust me, thats the bitch. Buy a lift. lol

God, I hope I can get it high enough. should be able to, I have the hoist, and everything I need. Have everything that was used from a web page I found. If they can do it, I know my Hick ass can:D

That is the easy way to pull a LT1 or LS1. Most of the newer GM cars engines come out that way. I would come help but with my health there is not much I can do. The drive there would wear me out. I hope everything goes well for you.
