H2 freshening cancelled, SRX freshening delayed...
H2 freshening cancelled, SRX freshening delayed...
Interesting internal memo from Bob Lutz... also mentions Zeta...

Also, If my notes are correct, the GMT-361/371 program listed that is cancelled along with the H2 freshening is the next TrailBlazer/Envoy/Rainier.... that in not only interesting.... it's downright scary.
EDIT: It says the GMT-361/371 cancelled is the right hand drive version... so, I am assuming the left hand drive is still on track.

Re: H2 freshening cancelled, SRX freshening delayed...
I'd don't think the H2 really needs much of a freshening, I'd be affraid it would lose too much of its HUMMER look. What is needs is a Duramax Diesel and a Hybrid setup ASAP.
SRX delayed freshening is kind of sad, hopfully it isn't for more than a year. The lux segment is very competative and Caddy is going to need to update its cars ever 5 years to stay competative.

I think Caddy will need to update their cars every 2 to 3 years and have brand new models out every 4 to 5 years.
The H2 despertly needs freshining on the inside. The interior is a disaster. Of course it has been proven people will buy crap interiors if the outside looks nice(Escalade and H2).
Re: H2 freshening cancelled, SRX freshening delayed...
well how much have those cars' sales dropped off over the last few months? if they are still doing well, well enough for profit, then GM is probably just delaying them to focus some other projects.

That's what I was thinking. While the H2 is an expensive vehicle it has an industrial utilitarian image, even if it's clientele will never make use of it.

1. The Hummer H2's had its "15 minutes of fame." Its time has come and gone. Fortuanately, the 1st year of production probably covered the entire design and tooling cost of the H2.
2. Japan, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom - the RHD world - can do without a version of the next Trailblazer. There isn't any market for this vehicle overseas. By the time it finally comes out, there might not be much of a market for the remaining LHD version in North America either.
