I backed into a cement pole today and scratched my rear bumper a bit. My question is this: Is there an easier way to fix the damage besides having it sanded and repainted? It is scratched down past the paint pretty good in some areas and has a little gouging in it. Thanks for any info

 

try buffing it out with a cutting compound like power cut....

 

the obvious calls for a repaint. just be more careful next time, if you break the clear coat it can be repaired... you get down to the plastic and it will just slowly peel away on you.

if your looking for a temp fix i'd try different compunds like stated above starting fine as possible until you are comfortable and then touch up what's necessary but you might just make a bigger mess.
