Chevy unveils it's common look at Frankfurt.

From Autonews:

Chevy brand -- from Daewoo-built cars to U.S. pickups -- will go common
General Motors will unveil a design look for all Chevrolets, including North American nameplates, at the Frankfurt motor show in September. It seems odd to debut a design theme for the Chevrolet brand at a European show. But GM intends to make Chevrolet the company's mass-market brand worldwide
Sure hope I like it.

Think how similar S3X and Torano are with the front fenders separated from the hood.

If they are going to make Chevrolet the mass market division worldwide, does that include China? I thought that Buick was basically GM-China. Would they be selling along side of Buick or would it replace Buick? Given all the speculation about eliminating divisions, would this be an indicator of Buick finally being laid to rest?

Of course I might as well mention the other brands worldwide like Opel and Isuzu.

Buick has a very good rap in China, they are seen as a status symbol and a luxury car over there(remeber China has been getting Holden Statesmen and Commodores badged as Buicks for a long time). If we had rebadged Statesmen and Commodores sold as Buicks in this country, I'm sure Buick would have a much better reputation.
