pirelli tire question

ok, just got some Z06R wheels (black with chrome lip/rivets) 18x9.5 in the back and pirelli was the only company im aware of that made a 285/35/18 and a 245/45/17 that i needed for the front and back combo, but i was looking at the Pzero nero m&s ... my dealer got the pirelli assymetricals, how good are these for daily driving? and what kind of mileage do most people see out of these? im just curious if i should go ahead and have these put on or have him order the nero instead... this is a daily driven car so mileage is a big+ but i like a tire with some great traction for those more spirited sunny days and strip nights :)

well the pzero nero is more of their all season tire, but my buddy josh got around 13k out of them on his GTI, so id imagine less on a tire spinning torque monster

i cant imagine the other pirellis getting any better mileage. BUt then again, those are OE tires on porsches, so they are gonna stick like glue, but wont last well at all

ouch... well i guess i can just hope the tire spinning monster wont be able to turn over the 285 pirellis even with the new 3.73 gears.. (though the old tires i had held the road very well before the 3.73s =/ ...) oh well guess ill just turn the Z into a weekend warrior, which is what it is right now anyway thanks to the guy that built my trans... thanks for the info

i take it these tires were not made for straight line power, cause the Z will roast the pirelli rosso 285/35/18 off when it hits 2nd everytime =/ these things wont last anytime with that kind of shift :( any suggestions for my next tire, as i know itll be within the next cpl months if it keeps up like these on a completely dry day. it may have just been because the roads were slightly wet but it seemed like it did the same in the dry.. i hope not but i may be wrong. either way they look good, now i just need to lower it :-p
