Question Does the SS have a different rear stabalizing bar than a Z28?

I recently got into an accident and I guess I bent my rear stabalizing bar. I'm just wondering if the SS has a differnet rear stabalizing bar than a z28 because I don't want the body shop to put a z28 stabalizing bar on it if I'm supposed to get a better one. Thanks for your help.

I highly doubt that there is a difference.

i dunno if a thicker bar in the back is necessarily better though.. you should ask/search in the autox/rr forum

All '94-'00 V8 F-bodies have a 19mm rear bar, and only the '01/'01 SLP cars with the 1LE or Bilstien package hav a larger rear bar. The '93 1LE also had a 21mm rear bar, but '94-'99 1LE's had the 19mm rear bar. I personally feel the 19 is perfect, and while a big bar make the car "feel" faster, it will generally make it difficult to put power down leaving a corner, and can actually reduce traction.
