Well i'm a college student living on campus so money is a huge issue. Some queer yesterday thought it would be funny to engrave the word B I T C H into my hood. Wow that makes them really cool for screwing with other people's stuff. Anyways it's a rather large engraving and i'm a newb when it comes to this stuff. Is there anything I can do to get it out? Compound or something? I'd appreciate help from anyone who has encountered a similar situation.

How deep did the scratches go? If it is just in the clear coat, you can wet sand it and buff it out. If it is into the paint, you can wet sand the hood and re-clear it. If it is to the metal or primer, the hood will have to be re-painted and re-cleared. If you lived closer to me I could do it for you for cheap and you could drive it away that day.

Yea that's a bit of a drive...thanks for the offer though. I'm gonna have to get a better look at it during the day light to see just how deep it is. I just saw it last night so i couldn't tell, all i could see is the word bitch and i got pretty pissed off as you can imagine.

Damn.........that sucks!
What kind of fool screws with another mans car?
If you've got a problem with somebody - take it up with the person........not their car.
I hope you find an easy fix to this.

You can try, if there deep enough they wont come out....Had some kids in my complex decide to use my LT1 hood as a slide, never did get the scratches out w/ buffing...the parents agreed to pay whatever it would cost to repair it
