What's involved to swap in a 95+ 4L60E into a 94 F-Body?
What's involved to swap in a 95+ 4L60E into a 94 F-Body?
I know the 95+ use OBD-I computers, with the OBD-II connector. I also know that the 95+ 4L60E Trannies use PWM for the TCC, whereas the 94's don't. Because trying to find a replacement tranny for my 94 is a PITA, What's involved in getting a 95+ to work? Can I reflash my ECM with code from a 95+ vehicle, or are there wiring changes and/or mechanical (bellhousing, case length, different splines, etc...) changes...
Thanks in advance

I think that the 94 has a single plug harness and the 95 is a double plug and if I am not mistaken it has something to do with the lock up on the Converter,
I could be wong so check it out.

What do you mean by change the harness? In other words take off the 95+ harness and plug your 94 harness in?
Do you have any pics or anything? Thanks in advance!

You will need reprogramming for a 95 tranny and run a wire from the pcm to the tranny connector. It's the PWM wire. Check shoebox's website for diagrams.
