Air Tube For Power Lumbar/Bolster ?
Air Tube For Power Lumbar/Bolster ?
I just got a set of leather seats that have power lumbar and bolster but I am not finding the connector to plug in the motor or the air tube to actully make the bolster work. Everything is on the seats but I thought that all our cars came with all the connectors for these seats hidden under the carpet? Any help would be appriciated, thanks.
Re: Air Tube For Power Lumbar/Bolster ?
Ok, my formula has them on it stock, but something is wrong with them and they don't work. The motor was pretty much locked up, but I took it apart and got it running straight from a 12v. Now I can hear a couple of clicks when I press the buttons on the driver seat, but no air. I've been informed by the dealership here (keep in mind that they may be full of it) that the parts have been discontinued and there are no more around.
If I remember correctly there is a power harnes that comes from under the carpet that hooks to the driver seat, and there is a harness that also runs from the driver seat to the passenger seat, with an air hose and switch wiring. I believe the rest of the wiring for them was under the seat. As far as the air hoses, they pretty much resemble surgical tubing.
I'm not sure if all the cars had the wiring for them or not.
I don't know if this will help you any, but if you need me to check out anything on mine I don't care to. If it's something I'll need to pull the seat out to check you may have to give me a bit to get the time to do it. Between work and us trying to sell this house it seems like I never have time to work on anything anymore, but hopefully that will be overwith shortly.
Hope this helps you out at least a little bit, but I'm not sure if all the cars had the wiring for them or not.

Re: Air Tube For Power Lumbar/Bolster ?
i installed TA seats in my Z and i would say if the connector isn't sticking out of the hole it isn't there. Its a pretty big connector and would be hard to miss.
