Problems with A4 and boost. Please help.

I'm having TC problems. First problem after putting any power to the TC when its locked it will unlock, and stay that way. I thought it was mechanical, but you can fix it by turning the ignition off and on very quickly, while rolling, and the problem goes away.

Next problem, when the TC is unlocked, and the tranny is in 4th gear, if you try to accelerate, the rpms just climb, and the car doesn't accelerate much. If you then manualy downshift, the RPM will actually come down in some cases, and the car accelerates better, but not normaly.

I was told that the tranny was dying, and to get a new one, but this has been going on since late september, and I'm still daily driving the car. Plus it goes away when you cycle the ignition.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

when is the last time you had the fluid and filter changed? so many little things can screw up, the pump, solidoids,...i hate electronic transmissions.
