I bought rebuilt LS1 calipers for my LS1 brake upgrade from Autozone for $40.

You can try and rebuild them yourself, costs about $6 for each side for the kit.
Takes about 30 minutes to do each side and most of that time is getting the e-brake return spring back on.
Advance and Autozone carry them since I had to go to both stores to get the kits, each store only had one kit in stock.

You will need to use compressed air to get the piston out of the cylinder, but you need to be careful since it can pop out and get damaged.

When you take them apart and if there is any damage to the piston or the cylinder wall, they recommend getting a new caliper.

Sorry to highjack but, my lt1 brakes kind of suck even with brand new ceramic pads. Would a rebuild on my front brakes be hard and will it help me stop any better?

Search for an LS1 brake upgrade... it has a bigger caliper than the LT1 brakes do. Usually people try and find the spindle, rotor, calipers used in sets on ebay or even on the board here...
Search it, you will find plenty of info on it

Rebuild wont help you in your situation... I recommend bleeding all 4 corners. I have autozone's PFC pads all around, after bleeding the lines the brakes work great!

Also depends on what shape your rotors are in.

Yeah, you go from a single to a dual piston caliper and from 10.5" rotors to 12" rotors. Well worth it!
