Re: are these subwoofers any good?

Never heard of the brand, so personally, I wouldn't think they would be very good; not to mention being mounted in a crappy Bandpass enclosure that I'm sure is not built and tuned for those speakers. For bandpass enclosure to sound "good" they have to be built to the specific speakers that are in them, and tuned accordingly; I don't know of ANY off-the-shelf ones that fit this bill.

And Sony amps... stay far far away, their stuff is honestly crap in the car audio world; ever since the mid/late 90's their quality and performance has dropped off dramatically.

RF has a better reputation for good products and quality. That's a better bet for your needs.

Amp wise; it really depends on your budget. And don't forget installation costs; either doing it yourself or paying for it, and the install kit (Wiring) that's needed.

If you are doing it yourself, www.knukonceptz.com has the best deals on quality install kits I've ever found; I use their stuff all the time.

Re: are these subwoofers any good?

I've run these in some installs before:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...746419055&rd=1

For brands to look at:

Audiobahn
Kicker
Eclipse
Orion
PPI
JL
Zapco
Xtant
Soundstream

those are the main ones to look for if you can, atleast off the top of my head at the moment.
