Getting Wax off of plastic panelsSnakeSkinner28 01-17-2005, 10:39 AM Hey all, Ive got a 95 Blazer and was wondering how yall go about getting excess wax that gets on to the plastic panels that run the side of the car. If there is wax left after you wash your car, use regular dish soap next time you wash or a claybar. Make sure to follow up with a clear coat after the dish soap, though. ZaneO 01-17-2005, 02:22 PM There are also dedicated trim cleaners, such as: http://www.topoftheline.com/trim-cleaner.html lbls1 01-17-2005, 05:30 PM I heard of Skippy's Peanut Butter as doing the trick. As taken from Guru's Test Publication, however..... I believe several other manufacturers make black restorer or wax removal products, like Meguiars. Good luck. ZaneO 01-18-2005, 12:31 PM Peanut butter is only a mask, due to the high oil content. tbs98z 01-20-2005, 09:52 PM Try Goof Off or grease and wax remover, that should do the trick :) lbls1 01-21-2005, 12:18 AM Peanut butter is only a mask, due to the high oil content. Yeah maybe........but it tastes real good doing it!!!! :D exceldetail 01-22-2005, 07:33 PM Megs 39 followed by #40...... Vanilla Moose..... Klasse AIO.... Camaro_Guru16NY 01-26-2005, 09:58 PM You could try CRC Brake cleaner as an optioin. Its pretty strong but I used it to clean all my Lt grey panels before I painted them which im doing as we speak. -john | ||
