Questions about S-trim install

What parts will I need to upgrade on my car to install an s-trim. I am planning on running it on a stock motor for now and doing the motor next winter (lower comp. pistons, blower cam, head port) but for this year I want to install it on my stock set-up(mods in sig). Will I need bigger injectors or just an FMU? bigger fuel pump? will I have to get rid of my A/C?

I'm sure you will need bigger injectors and at least an inline pump...

You also need to pull ur timing back via an ignition control, if you're not intercooling or using methanol injection.

www.vortechsuperchargers.com has the complete manual if you lost yours or it didn't come with it. Doing the stock install doesn't really add a lot of power because the air is really hot coming out of the supercharger.

The stock fuel pump is able to run about 450-475 for horsepower. If you're shooting for over that...you'll need the T-Rex booster pump that comes in the kit.

WWW.RACETRONIX.COM has a nice upgrade kit that gives you a new harness and hi-po in-tank pump. It's reasonable.

The 6# Vortech kit on a stock engine will net you 370 rwhp, I'd say that's worth it! The kit comes with an ignition timing retard and a T-Rex in-line fuel pump. These items are necessary if you're running stock injectors and stock programming. A better way to go if with custom programming and 42# SVO injectors. This will allow you to get rid of the FMU, T-Rex pump and the need to retard your timing. You'll still need the ignition box to generate a hotter spark as the blower may "blow out" your spark. You'll also need to run one range cooler , non-platinum, spark plugs. Commonly used plugs are the Autolite 104's and NGK TR6's.
