It's one of those mods where you say "why didn't I do that earlier!?!" or "Why didn't I do that first!?!" once it's done NorthernSS 12-17-2004, 12:31 AM Do the springs yourself, they are not that hard to do. Frustrating and time consuming yes, but if I can do it then anyone can do it ;) I also reccomend doing your shocks at the same time if you got the $$$ to do it. todd15 12-17-2004, 01:32 AM DO YOUR SHOCKS!!!!!!!!! It's one of those mods where you say "why didn't I do that earlier!?!" or "Why didn't I do that first!?!" once it's done I did my shocks and springs on my old camaro........I don't need them on this car todd15 12-17-2004, 05:27 AM ttt has anyone had their springs replaced at a shop? Elgyn 12-17-2004, 09:57 PM Spend the money for Koni SA's. You wont regret it :thumb: 93formula 12-18-2004, 02:19 AM go to "bc shock and strut" in surrey just over the pattulo bridge, very professional. ofcousre i would say just do it yourself but if you have to pay someone give them a call and get a quote from them. and get a realignment at the same time. Amit 12-18-2004, 03:03 AM Amit had a quote to get his ST's installed , I think it was 200 bucks . . ish  really? i dont remember this  Tw!tchb!tch 12-18-2004, 10:50 AM really? i dont remember this  I thought you phoned around to get them installed ? Or was it the guy you were going to get the ST kit from used ? Im too old . .. :o LT1Z28 12-18-2004, 12:48 PM Local shop will be anywhere from 200 to 300 for the job. Do the rears youself and take your front struts into a shop to change them over they will charge around 60 bucks to re/re the strut off the car. Or go to crappy tire and get a strut compressor tool for free and do it yourself. It really isnt that hard of a job and should only take a couple of hours for the unexperienced even. As for good shops they dont exist why do you think i do everything myslef ;) Amit 12-18-2004, 03:37 PM I thought you phoned around to get them installed ? Or was it the guy you were going to get the ST kit from used ? Im too old . .. :o yeah the guy that i was gonna buy em off of said thats how much some shop wanted. NorthernSS 12-19-2004, 03:52 PM I've been to BC Shock and Strut for a couple of things before and they do good work there. They did some really good work on my old 1987 4X4 Jimmy. I also went there for an alignment after I lowered my car and to get my LCA relo brackets welded in. I recomend them. I have Koni SA shocks and they are awesome. I got them for $1000 at Mopac. They are expensive but I feel they are well worth the difference between other shocks. A buddy of mine got Tokico adjustable and they didnt seem as controlable as mine. He had them set on stiff all around and while it was a very good ride, it didnt seem like they were as extreme as mine. For a shock a little less expensive then the Koni, Ive heard nothing but good things about the Bilsteins HD. bunker 12-19-2004, 04:21 PM There is a good shop if you know a very good friend there, 95wagon on the board does superior work no slack anywhere, I do my work myself but I know he also does his own work on his cars so if I was to every take anything to a shop it would be his no questions asked. Like I said but it could be up to $300 but will most likely be less since your car is in very nice shape. | ||
