Any new bests? I wasn't able to make it last night, I think I am close to having the car fixed.

Mike, last race night of the season is 12-22-04.

and the last race i raced my friend( brian kaiser, he is on here somewhere) he got a better reaction by 3/10ths and the race went back and forth down the track but he did beat me by a fender

i got a new best, but nothing worth bragging about. w/ my old exhaust setup (2.75'' flowmaster catback) and a jet stage 2 i ran a 16.6 over at bradenton. (16.8 at osw). since then i've taken out the chip and put on a rumbler exhaust. my first run out was my best of a 16.3. i'm happy w/ the improvement and i wasn't even planning on running. i still had my subs, spare tire, and a bunch of junk in the car.

I ran like garbage....couldn't get any traction to save my life last night....
Best run of the night was a 12.63 @ 112.8...with a 2.2 60'

Last night left much to be desired. All my 60's were in the 2.1 - 2.2 range...pretty much garbage. With my usual low 1.9 to 1.8, I would've put down some impressive #'s...but thats the name of the game I guess....next time out at the track will either be at bradenton or gainesville....I'm getting a little frustrated with OSW lately.

Dan, maybe it's time for some more aggressive tires? I also see no notice of suspension mods in your sig.

My buddy was there the same night, red 00' SS. He went 12.94 @ 112.4 - 2.1xx 60 ft. I'm dying to get back there, but the car still acts up on the 1-2.

Yeah, its definitely time for more agressive tires....but there's no reason why I shouldn't be able to cut the same 60' times I've been doing for almost 2 years now. I got there right at 6:30 so I'm not sure if they sprayed any VHT down before I got there, but I know for a fact they didn't spray any during the night at all. The extent of track prep that they did was using the blower once for about 25 seconds...

And yes, some suspension mods would DEFINITELY help me out.

I was out there in my 02 35th for the 1st time and ran a best of 13.5 at 106. I was the guy that raced Brian(blazer4.3) and it was a good run except I totally blew my 60' as you guys can see. I was happy for my results...1st time out there and stock. Ill post the breakdown below....plus I beat a mach 1! YEAH.

R/T-.789
60'- 2.211
330-5.913
1/8-8.867
-mph-84.19
1000-11.403
1/4-13.529
-mph-106.47

I remember seeing your car there Brian. Real sharp looking.

Dan, I can see why it spun more - Torque! Before the LT's you were cutting that kind of 60', the added TQ is where you're losing time right now. Gotta get the power to the ground. My buddy w/ the red SS went 12.9xx @ 110+ last year on radials. This year he ran the same ET at 2+ more MPH on nittos... the change, LT's & 3" ORY. His car is a handful on radials, and lately so is mine in this cooler weather. I say throw on some slicks and go this comming Wed.

Might do that actually...If my buddy doesn't borrow my dad's ET streets, then I might. Its not the LT's that are causing the launching problem. 3 weeks ago, I cut a 1.9 60' on street tires, and 2.0's the rest of the night...the problem was, it was humid as all hell, and the tires wouldn't hold under WOT and shifting.

I know the track was bad when my dad couldn't get any traction on his ET Streets that night in a lid only car. He was getting sideways off the line everytime...and he got 'em pretty hot too.

But yeah, I'll probably be out Wed. night....

Didn't know that... OSW is hit or miss, I won't deny that. Too bad you weren't using ET streets the night you did 2.00's on radials.

I never saw them prep either, but I was back in the lanes, I usually get up front and they stop on my car.

First part of the night I dead hooked pretty well then later on through the night I had problems hooking. If I had gotten a good run in my mph was easily at where it was for my 14.4 runs :)

I figured out why I couldn't hook...it was your leaking bag of ice...DAMNIT!!! :p

hehe :p

btw which lane do you guys think is better for prep on average, I know it "flucuates" from time to time but I usually favor the left lane. But in the past seemed like right lane was the better lane.
