I didn't watch the whole vid though, just the part with the vette but the civic in question is refered to in the vid as a turbo( when he raced the truck). But that aside from what I saw the civic jumped him, then when the vette started to pull past the vid scene stopped and went to another. Grow up,you want to brag about imports, well good but don't come onto a camaro board and try to shove imports up peoples noses. It's just not going to fly. If people on this board though imports where the sh$t then they would not be a member of this board. Everytime you bring this import sh$t up then people are going to smak you down. This is a CAMARO board. If you don't like it then leave.
And another thing if you think the japs are doing something new the look up english ford or cosworth or golfs or something like that. About the time the japs first started, making cars the english were making alot of HP NA back in the 70's. V-tec: see cosworth,wankle engines: see german automotive. The japs don't invent tech they steal it, and put a differnt spin on it. 4cycls that haul *****: see model t. Souped up 4cyls are nothing new, just everybody else when on to a 6 then 8 cyl its easier to horsepower. 350-400hp: see GM crate motor around $1500-2000 complete. then stick it a $500 70's camaro or anything, now tell me about bang for you buck. Yep it won't be pretty, be are you tring to go fast or win a beauty contest. Let me take the same car and spend $4000-5000 on it, and you baby honda is going down. And if your honda might edge me out , how 'bout next week or the one after that. You might blow smoke up the uninformed's butt and tell them "oh it's a honda it'll take for years."
But I live in the real world and I'll race the **** out of everything, and I've blow up enough lawn mowers, 4cyl everything a few sixes and a few eights to say that it will not. I'll give at least one reason why, honda is not making race cars their making enconmy cars, and their not going to put enough nickel, chrome and etc to make the engines blocks that tough, it'll cost more and bottom line thats what makes the world go around, profit.

I like quick small engined cars are cool, I have several vids of golfs, and supra and rx7's wrx' and etc an my computer right now and I think their cool. But I not let the fast and the ferious tell me that my v-8 boys have anything to fear.Until you show me an 4cyl runing mid 4.ooS in the 1/4 I not sweating any 4 cyl. That's what happens when you stick 20-30 PSI though a V-8.
As far as repling to my post don't bother I probely won't see it for months.
Instead of running my "mouth" about cars I going to be out making mine faster and smoother and driving it, and learing more and help people make theirs better, like a real car guy, not a internet troll

i dont get the point of this? for every civic beating camaro/vette/TA/etc.. i could find 100 videos of one getting the smack layed down on it. whats the point? any car can be fast, just some are meant to do it, while others it takes a bit more effort and $$

notice on the video link the civic is reffered to as "bolt on civic"....well I guess the turbo was technically "bolted on" but thats a pretty big stretch to say the least....what do they call this in the political world??? ahhh yes....spin....

OH...and granted South LA is not exactly the place to start looking for turbo rice burners, but we have MORE than our fair share of rice boy hondas and I am a regular at the street races and never ONCE have I actually ever seen one, only heard of the guy who is "going turbo later this month", or "has a turbo civic at home"....In the real world, an F-body (V8 AND V6) will only get a decent race and even more rarely a loss from one in every 1000 honda's or so...

 

Attention stupid ****ing ignorant fool.....the only vehicle in that whole video to beat the vette was that crazy (GM) truck (Parish) that was pulling on the bikes. The vette and the civic NEVER EVEN RACE IN THE WHOLE ENTIRE VIDEO!!!!!!!! The vette does lay the smack down on a turbo RSX and manages to edge out the WRX. Next time you might try actually paying attention while you watch your videos....
