In the end, how much did your N20 system cost you?

I'm looking into a nitrous system and for 600-700 dollars it didn't seem bad at all. But with all the added safety eqipment.. it's really starting to add up fast.

So for you guys with all the safety add ons.. what did it end up costing you?

Thanks!

i believe i spent a toal of about $1000 (TNT kit, window switch, fpss, nx bottle heater, nx remote opener), purchasing the heater and opener used. only other thing i would like to get is a nitrous pressure gauge to mount in the pillar, since my bottle is not visible.

Ok, so a safe guess is around $1000 American.

A few other questions though... is it a good idea to go with the GEN-X2 upgrade? Seems convenient to have all the safety equipment in one nice package.

And what is the difference between the 10lb bottle and the 15lb bottle? Does the 15lb bottle just hold more? Would it be worth the extra $60?

And the only other cost is the window switch, right? So this is what I have going right now

NX 15lb Bottle - 650
GEN-X2 Upgrade - 390
MSD Window Switch - 80

Is this all I need? Thanks for the help!

15 pound bottle just holds more nitrous. I dont think it is really worth it unless you are going to be running a large dose of nitrous or it's a PITA to refill the bottle. Remember a 15 pound bottle is quite a bit bigger, so it makes finding a place to install it a bit harder.

Id go ahead and add an ignition box and colder plugs to that set-up as well.

I used the mallory 685 cd ignition box, comes with window switch and timing retard.

You can get the Mallory 685 for 170 here.

Summit even matched the price of it.

Re: In the end, how much did your N20 system cost you?

Ive only spent about $375, maybe a little more. I basically pieced my kit together. Started out with a Nitrous Works bottle which also came with some various nitrous line, N20 solenoid, fuel cut-off safety switch and a few other fittings. Seperately i bought a fuel solenoid, fogger nozzle, 2 3an solenoid to nozzle lines, a nitrous pressure guage, and a few jets. I still plan on getting a purge kit and probably a bottle heater. I dont really plan on getting a window switch and all that stuff. I am just going to use an arming switch and a push-buttom activation to ingage it. I dont like that whole full throttle activation stuff. As far as safety features i think the fuel pressure cutoff switch will make it as safe as it needs to be.
